International Joint Classes

Program Overview

Background

  • Online education became the mainstay during the COVID-19 pandemic, and this has enabled universal international cooperation.
  • The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education launched the Online Language Exchange (OLE)* Program in 2020. The Program pursues international joint classes with 90 schools in eight countries.

    * OLE is a program designed to help students speak in the partner country's language, polish their foreign language skills, and improve their understanding of cultural diversity.

  • Furthermore, we developed the interpretation tools for online meeting programs. This project pursues universal international joint classes in their true sense and aims to help students overcome the language barrier by taking part in international joint classes using translation and interpretation programs.*

    * International joint classes using translation and interpretation programs use real-time voice interpretation and captioning features in the video conference programs.
