Basic Education System

6-3-3-4 system that covers elementary school, middle school, high school and college or university education.

Para-school Education

As alternative courses equivalent to the basic education system, Broadcast and Correspondence High schools, Civic Schools, Civic High Schools, Technical Schools, Technical High Schools and Miscellaneous Schools have been approved.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology supervises the higher educational institutions.

Semester

One school year is divided into two semesters. The first semester runs from March 1st till the end of August, and the second semester, from September 1st till the end of next February.
